Introduction
Overview
In call center and similar environments, users may need the phone to use headset mode by default for answering and placing calls.
Applicable Models
All of our phone models support this feature (X210 is used in this article as an example).
Prerequisites
① One phone, connected to the switch and able to obtain an IP address.
② One computer for configuration, connected to the same switch as the phone to ensure network communication between the computer and the phone.

Configuration Steps
Method 1: Enable Headset Ringing
On the phone’s LCD screen, tap “
Menu” — “
Status” to view the phone’s IP address.

Log in to the phone’s web interface by opening a browser on the computer and entering the phone’s IP address in the
address bar.

After logging in to the phone web interface, go to “Phone Settings” - “Function Settings” - “Basic Settings” - “Headset Ringing”, select Enable, and then click “Submit”.

Note: On the phone LCD, this can also be configured by tapping “Menu” - “Features” - “General” - “Headset Ringing” — Enable — “Save”.
With this method, the headset will ring and answer incoming calls by default. However, outgoing calls will still use hands-free mode by default. If you want both incoming and outgoing calls to use headset mode by default, refer to Method 2 below.
Method 2: Enable Auto Headset
After logging in to the phone web interface, go to “Phone Settings” - “Function Settings” - “Basic Settings” - “Auto Headset”, check the option, and then click “Submit”.
