Introduction
Overview
In some cases, a phone that has been working normally may suddenly become unresponsive. The keys stop responding, the handset cannot be used, and the entire system appears completely frozen. Restarting the phone does not resolve the issue. However, if the network cable is unplugged, the phone returns to normal. Once the cable is connected again, the system freezes again.
Applicable Models
This issue may occur on all phone models.
Possible Cause
The network environment may be experiencing abnormal traffic conditions, such as a broadcast storm, network loop, or similar network storm event. When the phone receives a very large number of packets within a short period of time (for example, more than 50,000 packets in one second), CPU processing can become blocked. As a result, normal user actions cannot be handled in time, causing the system to appear frozen. Once the network returns to normal, or the network cable is unplugged, the phone should recover automatically.
Solution
1. Disconnect the phone from the network and restart it to confirm whether the device itself is operating normally.
2. Check the network environment for issues such as broadcast storms, network loops, or other abnormal traffic conditions. Resolve the network problem and make sure the network is stable and functioning properly.
3. Reconnect the phone to the network and verify that it can operate normally again.
