Action URL and Active URI Specification for SIP Phone API

Introduction

Preface

This document describes the BLF List function of SIP phones and how to use it by configuring BroadWorks and the phone. All phone models including BX3S, BX4, BX5S, BX6, BX7, BX7C, GP210, GP210i, BXU series, BC600, BD900 support this function with the same configuration method.

Introduction to BLF List Function

BLF (Busy Lamp Field) obtains the call status of an extension by subscribing to it. When you configure a BLF number on a DSSkey, the LED indicator changes when the monitored extension status changes. One BLF key monitors only one extension. BLF List allows monitoring multiple extensions at once. The user configures a list of monitored numbers on the PBX server, and the phone automatically maps them to DSSkeys. The LED indicators update when any monitored extension changes status. BLF List is a group subscription function for batch monitoring. The BLF List function requires cooperation between the SIP phone and PBX server. Verified compatible PBX: BroadSoft BroadWorks, Fortinet FortiVoice, VoipSwitch. Other PBXs supporting BLF List may also work. This guide uses BroadWorks as an example.
